Kam Lee is arguably the first singer to ever sing in the low tone 'Death' style that has come to define Death Metal. Kam started as the singer for Mantas, which later turned into Death. After leaving Death, Kam joined Massacre, alongside Bill Andrews (Death).

Death is arguably, the first Death Metal band ever. Formed by Chuck Schuldiner in Altamonte Springs, FL in 1983, Death would become the first band ever to be described as Death Metal.

The video game site, IGN, has compiled a list of the top 10 best Death Metal Singers ever. Four of the top ten are Florida singers. They are; Chuck Schuldiner (Death), John Tardy (Obituary), David Vincent (Morbid Angel), and Paul Pavlovich (Assück).

Nocturnus guitarist Mike Browning has issued the following statement on blabbermouth.net regarding their Europe tour: 

This is Mike Browning and I want to be totally up front and honest with everyone that the original lineup will not be touring. 

My band After Death will be doing the tour as Nocturnus, we WILL be playing at least 7 of the 10 songs on The Key as well as a couple of old Morbid Angel songs done the way they were originally written on Abominations of Desolation!
