The mega-tour, which features Marilyn Manson (he's still around?) and Slayer has a stop in West Palm Beach on August 11, and Tampa on August 12. Tickets are available online at livenation.com. Cannibal Corpse will play a second stage, which is a bit frustrating, considering some of the hacks that will get a main stage.

Obituary Finishes Recording New Album

While the album has yet to be named, the artwork has already been completed ( look left ). The band has already released public statements about their excitement surrounding the new album.

Sat, 2009-02-28 13:03 — coryMassacre is coming back from the dead. The faces in the band will be a bit different than it's previous inception though. In fact, the only returning member from the original lineup is the venerable Kam Lee. Kam has spoken with a couple notables to fill both the bass and drum slots for the new lineup.
Masticator
Masticator is a three-piece Old School Death Metal band from West Palm Beach, FL. The sound of the band harkens back to the late eighties. This is a bit ironic, since the band consists primarily of minors. The entire lineup wasn't even born when classics like Butchered at Birth, and Cause of Death were released. Their demo album, Premortem Autopsy owes much to those albums.

"Trevor [Peres, guitar] finished his tracks yesterday, and I'm doing solos now. The new stuff is HEAVY, some of my favorite Obituary riffs yet. Trevor's guitar sounds huge and menacing. If you like Obituary, you're gonna love this record."
