The Absence is a melodic Death Metal band from Tampa, FL. They’re a traditional five-piece, with two guitarists, a bassist, a drummer, and a singer. The Music, while being melodic, is very very heavy. The band has done an amazing job at balancing sheer power, with hooks and harmony that a lot of folks can appreciate.
Riders Of The Plague
Thu, 2009-02-26 21:38 — coryRiders of the Plague is the second album by The Absence. It was released on August 7, 2009 on Metal Blade. Riders is a lot of old school riffing, with a lot of new school ass-kicking. The band sounds a bit like Carcass, but that's not to say they're easily defined. Songs like Dead and Gone, and The Murders are amazing testaments to what the five piece from Tampa can accomplish.
