Arguably one of the most controversial Death Metal bands of all time, Deicide formed under the name ‘Carnage’ in Tampa, FL in 1987. Shortly after their first recording, Glen Barton joined the band, and they changed their name to ‘Amon’. in 1990, when they were picked up by Roadrunner Records, they were forced to change their name, which became the name we know them by now.

Deicide Cancels Central American Tour

Pioneering Death Metal band Deicide has cancelled the remainder of it's Central American tour. 

From Glen Barton:
"This morning [Sunday, November 23] we went to the airport in Honduras and the fine folks at [the airline] gave our tickets away to other people, and when we tried to change the tickets and make the remaining shows, there were no other flights available to get us to El Salvador, and the promoter expected us to drive across countries, through document and border checks and with no guarantee of safe return.

Winterfest 2009 - Europe Tour with Florida Power

Order of Ennead, the Tampa Bay area Death Metal band featuring Steve Asheim (Deicide), has been added to the Winterfest 2009 tour. The tour, conveniently, is being headlined by Decide.
