Tampa Bay Deathcore act, Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky (S.W.W.A.A.T.S.), has completed recording the tracks to their new album, The Grand Partition And The Abrogation Of Idolatry. The band has been working on the album for a few months now. The album is SWWAATS' first album since being picked up by major label, Nuclear Blast.

Bravewords caught up with the guys in Cannibal Corpse for a post-recording interview. The interview can be found here. Cannibal Corpse recently finished up their latest recording, Evisceration Plague, at Mana Studios with the help of Erik Rutan. The interview catalogues the details of the album, as well as the band's future touring.

In what seems like the darkest of times for Florida Death Metal bands, singer / frontman Erik Rutan has been hospitalized in Iowa City with an infection in his hand, as well as problems with his kidneys. Given that Erik has had issues with his kidneys before, the band isn't taking any chances. The U.S. tour has been cancelled while Erik get's better. 

Details are still limited to what's on the bands MySpace page, but it appears that Erik was admitted to the hospital last week. He's scheduled to stay in the hospital for another week.

Pioneering Death Metal band Deicide has cancelled the remainder of it's Central American tour.

"This morning [Sunday, November 23] we went to the airport in Honduras and the fine folks at [the airline] gave our tickets away to other people, and when we tried to change the tickets and make the remaining shows, there were no other flights available to get us to El Salvador, and the promoter expected us to drive across countries, through document and border checks and with no guarantee of safe return.

Members from some of the largest, and most influential of Florida Death Metal bands have come together to form a new band, Exitsect.

Jamie Stewart,  singer and frontman for The Absence, was recently interviewed by "The Governor", of "The Governor's Ball". While The Governor's Ball is something that deserves plenty of discussion on it's own, we here at Florida Death Metal were quite delighted to hear the interview with one of the best bands in Florida Death Metal today.
