John and Donald Tardy, famous for their roles in the seminal Tampa-based Death Metal act, Obituary, have released a new album for their project, Tardy Brothers. The new album features some of Obituary's other members: Ralph Santolla, Jerry Tidwell, and Scott Johnson. The duo are on record stating this project should expand their musical direction.

From John Tardy:

"This is something Donald and I have talked about and planned for many years and we just never had the time to do it. With the addition of our new studio, it has finally given us the abilitity to get this music recorded. It is not going to affect anything that Obituary is doing nor is it supposed to sound like Obituary."

John and Don will be busy though. The new Obituary album is slated to start recording soon, which is something else to look out for. Should be good . ;)
